Jeff Larsen is a middle school reading teacher at a Title I school. He is proud to call Tarpon Springs home and has served the city as a Commissioner and Vice Mayor for the past six years. He became involved as a civic leader through the City of Tarpon Springs Planning and Zoning Board. While serving in Tarpon he was the Chairman on the Pension Board and member of Pinellas County’s Homeless Leadership Board. He grew up in Palm Beach County and graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Business Administration. Dory, his wife of 17 years was born and raised in Pinellas County and works for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. They have two school age sons who are actively involved in soccer and theater. Jeff enjoys playing and coaching basketball. He has coached both boys and girls teams for Gulf Middle School for the past 13 years.  Additionally, he has served GMS as a department head of the Dropout Prevention Program, Professional Learning Community Facilitator for the reading department, and worked on curriculum development for Pasco County.  Jeff is a member of the teachers union and currently serves as an alternate building representative.
